Links

  • Links to some of my other websites can be found on the Website page of this one.

  • http://www.w3schools.com is a nicely organised and extremely useful way to learn various web-related technologies and is also a very good reference once you're familiar with them. The construction of this, and my other websites, depended on information from w3schools. It was particulally useful for learning XML, XSL, XSD, XHTML and XPath, which are used in most of my current websites, and has been also been a useful reference for HTML, CSS and Javascript in the past.

  • AnalogX has lots of free software, some of which has been quite useful to me in the past (in particular, the rhyming dictionary and the compact proxy server).

  • Jasc/Corel Paint Shop Pro isn't as functional as Photoshop (or at least, my old version isn't), but is a bit quicker and less bulky. Also very simple to use - most of the graphics on this website have been drawn or improved with PSP.

  • BBC's Focus magazine seems to be one of the few science magazines that doesn't feel the need to suggest climate change or the end of the world in every other article, unlike New Scientist and various internet news sources.
